Chapter History

The Delta Phi Chapter at New York University was colonized in 2004. Since then, the chapter has grown and currently has 150 active sisters, who are dedicated to upholding the the purpose of the sorority and the ideals of its founders.

Over the years, Alpha Tau has been awarded numerous awards as apart of Greek life at NYU. Most recently, our chapter won Greek Week in 2017.

For over 100 years, Alpha Tau has been an active presence at universities and colleges across the country. From its beginnings in 1899 to today, the Purpose of the Sorority has been to promote the ethical, cultural, and social development of its members and members have maintained high standards of scholarship, friendship, and social grace. Here at NYU, we seek to uphold these traditions and values in everything we do.
